Information

This was a project that came together fairly early in the history of disc golf in the Maritimes. We had done some unrelated projects with the Recreational Director of Bridgewater in her previous job and the Municipal Activity and Recreation Complex--affectionately known as the MARC Park--already had three Innova DISCatcher baskets placed on site with no real course layout. There had been some pretty strong community engagement  in the lead up to this course, and we all felt a true 9-hole course would do well in the park. The MARC Park is a well-used and well-loved space in the area. It offers biking trails, baseball fields, walking paths, and a few community buildings. Disc golf fit well into the overall vision of the park, and is being used by a healthy amount of folks in the community. Projects like these always remind us that disc golf can thrive in shared spaces.

The course itself is spacious and makes use of the hilly public park. It has lots of really fun shots, including two downhill ace runs can really hook new players into loving the game. This is a great disc golf course for the whole family, and a wonderful place to throw. Red and Blue tee pads for every hole offer a lovely variety of shots. The blue tee on hole #9 throws over a pond, so be mindful.
