Buckle up everybody it looks like the competitive disc golf season is just around the corner. We would like to share with you a bit of information on the 2 tour stops slated for Newfoundland in July. Registration for both of these events will open on Tuesday, June 15th.

First up: Blanche Brook Park, Stephenville, July 18th.

One week after the Atlantic Championship Flickline will host our first of two PDGA events on the 'rock'. Stephenville will be a tee timed event starting at 830am Sunday morning with a cap of 60 players total. A modified 14 hole course will be made for the tournament. It will be set up and playable by Friday evening. Players will play two rounds of 14 holes followed by a 1 hour break for lunch and then compete in a final 14 holes for a tournament total of 42 holes. Each amateur player will receive a players pack valued at the cost of the entrance fee. Trophies will be awarded for the top 3 finishers in each division. All Open divisions play for cash. At every Flickline event the player who wins their final card (top score on your card on the last round) wins a prize. Chain Reaction Disc Golf will be providing some sweet discs for the final card winners.

There will be a one hour workshop on July 17th (Saturday afternoon), hosted by some of the Flickline players. The cost will be $25 dollars and will include a disc for all participants. The workshop will go over some basic throwing techniques to increase distance, forehand techniques, and a putting workshop. No advanced sign up is required and more information will be made available in July.

Second Stop: St John's, Confederation park, July 24th.

The St John's tour stop will be a tee timed event, starting at 830am, consisting of two rounds of 18 holes each with a (minimum) 1 hour break between rounds for lunch. Currently we are capping this event at 40 players, however, if demand warrants it we will run two separate events that days with 40 players per event. This means there would be a 36 hole event in the morning, and a 36 hole event in the afternoon.

There will be a one hour workshop on July 23rd (Friday evening), hosted by some of the Flickline players. The cost will be $25 dollars and will include a disc for all participants. The workshop will go over some basic throwing techniques to increase distance, forehand techniques, and a putting workshop. No advanced sign up is required and more information will be made available in July.
